Vascular ultrasound — lower and upper limbs, neck and major arteries
Lower limb vascular ultrasound
Allows assessment of the patency of veins and arteries and detection of varicose veins, thrombosis, ischemia and blood flow disorders.
Upper limb vascular ultrasound
Assesses the arteries and veins of the arms, and the presence of stenosis, blood clots, varicose changes and post-traumatic disorders.
Neck vascular ultrasound
Performed to assess the carotid and vertebral arteries. Important for diagnosing stroke risk, atherosclerosis and cerebral circulation disorders.
Major vessel ultrasound
Covers the large arteries and veins: the abdominal aorta, the iliac vessels and the inferior vena cava. Used for systemic circulatory disorders.
Note:
Technical breaks of up to 30 minutes may occur during working hours.
An examination takes from 5 to 40 minutes.
